Budget car rental coupon for concessional rate and prices

Budget, Car Rental USA, General, News, Reviews Comments (0)

Looking for a budget car rental?  Looking for concessional rates and prices?  One thing you might have overlooked is a coupon.  Believe it or not, coupons are a favorite way for car rental companies to bring in your business.

Coupons are available almost everywhere, if you know where to look.  For instance, at almost every major airport, you’ll find a stand of advertising books aimed at the traveler.  They have coupons and concessional prices on hotels, car rentals, souvenirs and attractions.  The next time you or a friend is at the airport, pick one up and page through it.  You’re likely to find a coupon that will save you money.

Another place is the rental car companies themselves.  If you belong to one or more loyalty programs, hop on the internet and see what specials they’re offering for you.  It’s much easier for a car rental company to keep an existing customer’s business than it is to get a new customer, and they’re willing to deal to try to keep you.  Many times loyalty club owners get preferential rates.  And if you’re not a member but see a great deal, join.  It only takes a few seconds and doesn’t cost you a dime.

A lot of organizations offer concessional rates and prices as well.  For instance, the American Automobile Association, or AAA, specializes in automobile-related items, including car rentals when you need them.  If you’re a member, check their website.  They have a whole section devoted to nothing but discounts for members, and you’re likely to find great savings there.

Many employers or organizations also offer coupons or concessional prices.  For instance, active-duty and retired military members have access to discounts through their Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) organization.  Fraternal orders like the Elks and Eagles offer discounts to their members.  And many large employers like the federal government, State agencies, and large corporations have employee associations that offer their members various special prices and rates on many items, including car rentals.

And of course, let’s not forget the internet.  Just go to your favorite search engine, enter the term “car rental coupon” or “car rental discount” and you’ll have a whole variety of choices.

If you have a favorite company or companies, you can do the same thing—just add the company name.  For instance, if you prefer to rent from Budget, just enter “Budget car rental discount” or “Budget car rental coupon.”  There are many sites on the Web that keep track of coupons and promotional codes from thousands of companies, and your search will probably turn up a deal through one of these sites.

One last thing:  be sure to double-check your rental agreement when you show up to rent the car.  It’s very easy for a counter clerk to miss the promotional code and forget to input it.  Signing your contract before ensuring you got the best deal possible is just handing back your discount to the rental car company.  If you spend the time finding that concessional discount, make sure you get it!
